Craft medium roasted coffee (11). Grown on the slopes of the Makari Mountains. Gourmet African coffee with characteristics of Kenyan coffee, though lighter in acidity. Rainforest Certified. Located on Tanzania's northern border, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest mountain. The mountainous surroundings provide a rich volcanic soil suitable for the production of quality coffee. Inside each cherry on the coffee tree, two beans are grown side by side, resulting in the flat face of most beans. Peaberries, however, occur when only one of the two seeds is fertilized, growing on its own without anything to flatten it.
